The Effect of Massage Stimulation on the General Movements Quality in Breastfed Preterm Infant

General Movements (GMs) assessment is one of the modalities to detect abnormal infant development early, examination preterm very important. Preterm has a long-term health impact and risk neonatal morbidity mortality, need breast milk as best nutritionand also stimulation, which massage. This study aimto analyze massage stimulation effect on general movements in breastfed Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya.A randomize control group pre test post design was conducted infant, 39 babies were enrolled. Massage done for 10 consecutive days 3 times ward while observing condition.The quality GMs according standardization Prechtl method, through two stages, taking video recording editing GMs, analysis recordings GMs.Statistical by comparison test.The (85.7%) group(69.6%) with p=0.287. The writhing dominated (65%), normal (63.2%) p=0,150. In fidgety (75%) not (78.9%) p=1,000.There no differences writhingGMs fidgetyGMs infants both group.
